What is KO?
KnowledgeOman.com (KO) is an online community platform specifically engineered to create a knowledge based economy with a focus on developing the Information and Communication Technology Sector in Oman. The aim of this project is to solidify His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said's Progressive Vision to transform the Sultanate into a Knowledge Society and build a knowledge-based economy.
KO is managed by a team of dedicated professionals from various industries working together to share, exchange and promote knowledge across the Sultanate.

Ramadan Charity to Help the Needy
KnowledgeOman.com, the leading community portal in the Sultanate, has launched "KnowledgeOman.com Ramadan Giving charity campaign" as part of the various activities KnowledgeOman.com conducts during the Ramadhan. The "KnowledgeOman.com Ramadan Giving charity campaign" has been launched to help the needy during this blessed holy month where the members come together to donate and distribute food, clothing and other necessary items across a range of families.
“KnowledgeOman.com is entirely based on a team of volunteers, and Ramadan is an ideal time to encourage more volunteer work by supporting and spreading happiness to families in need. Our journey throughout the month of Ramadan is that of giving and supporting, and this has also set an example for youth to take part in charity projects,” said Afaf Cherif, KnowledgeOman.com member leading the Ramadan Giving charity campaign.
Team members gathered to do the grocery shopping, arranged all items, and distributed directly to witness in person the smiles in the faces of children, elderly and the families supported. The Ramadan campaign has now reached twenty families with further visits throughout the month. The first-hand experience of members highlighted the value of charity to encourage more of such initiatives beyond the month of Ramadan and to help support the progress of the country and its people.
