KnowledgeOman.com Concludes Online Training for Ministry of Education Teachers

KnowledgeOman.com, the leading knowledge-based community platform in the country, recently concluded its e-learning courses with a number of Omani educators successfully graduating, targeted primarily at Northern Sharqiya Ministry of Education teachers, and to educators across the country. The participants completed the online training program to advance their professional development and their skill sets in the classroom. This forms part of the e-learning courses at KO School promoting free education in the country, in which over 300 individuals have so far benefited from this e-learning platform.

Salwa Al Jahthami, a lecturer at the KnowledgeOman.com school and a teacher in northern sharqiya region, noted, “E-learning is the future, with its flexibility, collaboration methods and convenient online tools. It’s a privilege to be part of the KO School bringing benefits to the local and regional community.”

Educators advanced their skills in techniques of mind mapping using MindJet MindManager and advanced usage of MS Office PowerPoint 2007, with enrollments for 20 participants in each course to enable close interactions. The recent courses were delivered by the lecturer Salwa Al Jahthami and Abdullah Al Harthy. To successfully graduate from the course, participants were required to submit a final projects in which KnowledgeOman.com then awarded the educators with certificates of completion. A number of unique projects were submitted reflecting the learning and enthusiasm to grow and contribute.

Masoud Al Ghawi, a Physics teacher and one of the participants at KO School, said, “it is my first time participating in e-learning training and I found it to be great as it encouraged me to further pursue my learning. With the spread of internet penetration in Oman, I would be pleased to see more people able to benefit from this educational technology.”

Saleh Al Barashdi, another participant, added, “online training was a new and exciting opportunity in learning, and also cost effective avoiding the hassle of venues, transportation and time constraints. I thank KnowledgeOman.com for this opportunity which reflects the progress made in the country to spread awareness virtually reaching participants wherever they are.”

KO school is open for everyone to register and get free education for their necessary development. Courses previously launched include Effective Team Building, Adobe Photoshop, C++, Web Designing, VB.Net, Networking, Java, IC3 and SQL. The online learning platform enables the instructors and students to effectively co-ordinate with live discussions, homework submissions and one-to-one support along with group assistance and conducted online tests as learners move forward with their progress.
