Knowledge Oman Supports HRD Expo 2012

In line with the commitment to support local development efforts, Knowledge Oman the leading knowledge-based community platform has joined hands with the Human Resource Development (HRD) Expo 2012. This second HRD Expo 2012 focuses on the knowledge and development of Human Resources in the country by upgrading the skills of the work force in the public and private sector.

Tariq Al Barwani, CEO & President of Knowledge Oman, emphasizes the role of education as the wealth of the nation, in which HR developments help leverage on applied learning opportunities for the people to enhance their competencies and skills.

The HRD EXPO 2012 event also provides a platform to learn about the available courses, training packages, HR strategies, innovative policies and the overall improvement of the technical skills of employees. It aims to encourage productive discussion, networking and exchange of knowledge between participating entities from various sectors and the visitors. The HRD Expo 2012 running from September 23rd to the 26th at Oman International Exhibition Center welcomes all concerned parties, citizens and residents to be part of the HR development efforts in Oman.

Knowledge Oman, established in April 2008, is a platform that specifically connects people in the community to create, share and promote knowledge through online-based and community driven initiatives. The platform was launched as a mission to solidify the vision of the country's ruler, His Majesty the Sultan Qaboos of Oman, to transform Oman into a knowledge based society. This generates wealth of knowledge and builds the nation which is the corner-stone of success today.
