Knowledge Oman, the leading knowledge-based community platform in the country, participated with a delegation in the 3rd Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES-EVA) held recently in Dubai, inaugurated under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Knowledge Oman, with the presence of President & CEO Tariq Al Barwani, joined other public and private sector delegates from Oman to interact with leading individuals from the regional industry.
“The summit highlighted the role of entrepreneurs as the creative minds who are not afraid to dream the change they would like to see in the world and to be potential job creators and economic drivers of our future. Our participation in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit paved our way to establishing ties with these entrepreneurs and regional entities to mutually roll out initiatives that benefit the community in Oman,” shared Raif Al Harthy, a member of the Knowledge Oman delegation at the summit.
The 3rd Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit, presented in association with Entrepreneurial Ventures of Arabia, was first launched in 2010 as the premier gathering to promote prosperity through innovation and entrepreneurship featuring entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, academics and ecosystem players from all over the world.
Knowledge Oman, established in April 2008, is a platform that specifically connects people in the community to create, share and promote knowledge through online-based and community driven initiatives. The platform was launched as a mission to solidify the vision of the country’s ruler, His Majesty the Sultan Qaboos of Oman, to transform Oman into a knowledge based society. This generates wealth of knowledge and builds the nation which is the corner-stone of success today.
