Knowledge Oman Awards Most Valuable Member 2012


Knowledge Oman, the leading knowledge-based community platform in the country, has awarded its distinguished team member Amal Al Maashari with the Most Valuable Member award (MVM) for 2012, highlighting her notable achievements in the past year. The competitive annual MVM award recognizes team contributions and encourages talent in the country who are regarded as role models in the community.

“We are honored to award our leading team member as a way to celebrate achievements and encourage others to take such prominent steps. Knowledge Oman is based on volunteer work and has attracted a diverse team leading various initiatives that impact a difference in the community,” says Tariq Al Barwani, President and  CEO of Knowledge Oman.

On receiving the award, Amal Al Maashari notes, “I’m so happy and proud to be part of Knowledge Oman which appreciates the effort of each member and gives us continues motivation to contribute towards more and more success.”

Amal Al Maashari, the Community Projects Manager in Knowledge Oman, has successfully led the Knowledge Ambassadors initiative that connects youth, professionals and academicians to exchange and share knowledge for free across the regions of Oman through field visits, workshops and speaking sessions. Amal further led community initiatives in collaboration with various private and public entities to help drive the knowledge society mission of the organization.

“We are all proud that Amal found her passion in Knowledge Oman and made best of it as a platform of learning, growth and developing as a community leader. Knowledge Oman is a platform for all the community, where everyone plays a valuable part that has taken us to where we are today and towards the future ahead of us,” notes Rym Aoudia, Chief Operations Officer at Knowledge Oman.

Khalfan Al Mahrazy, Vice President of Knowledge Oman, adds, “By awarding team and giving prizes for the various achievements, personal and community development is encouraged and highlights the value that volunteer work generates for the country’s progress.”

Established in April 2008, Knowledge Oman has managed to successfully bring together a diverse team of local and expatriate male and female living in Oman under one roof to support the vision of His Majesty of creating a knowledge-based society. Knowledge Oman nurtures community talent and welcomes a multinational team, connecting people to create, share and promote knowledge across the Sultanate which has received an award-winning recognition both locally and internationally.
