Knowledge Oman Educates on 7 Habits for Personal Effectiveness

Knowledge Oman, the leading Knowledge-based community platform in the country, has extended its educational support to the pharmaceutical industry of Cipla professionals through a seminar titled “7 Habits for Personal Effectiveness”. The session was delivered by Knowledge Oman’s Executive Coach Sajan Nair through the Knowledge Ambassadors program.

Sajan Nair, facilitator of the session, remarks, “Leadership is about setting a personal model, nothing influences people as effectively as a great leader does. Stephen Covey’s 7 habits of Highly Effective People provides excellent tools to start with and further build on.”

The Knowledge Ambassadors project  includes professionals, both nationals and residents, speaking on a variety of topics, from sciences, business, humanities, technology, sports, personal development and more. This enables a learning culture, promotes the knowledge of various professionals, and supports the development of a knowledge society.

Amal Al Maashari, Director of Knowledge Ambassadors program, explains, “The Knowledge Ambassadors initiative at Knowledge Oman brings the community free learning opportunities through a network of volunteer professionals across various industries.  We continuously reach out to more segments in the country and welcome such requests from the community.”

This value packed educational session was based on the book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People which was first published in 1989. The book is a business and self-help book written by Stephen R. Covey and has sold more than 25 million copies in 38 languages worldwide and remains one of the best selling nonfiction business books. Covey presents an approach to being effective in attaining goals by aligning oneself to what he calls "true north" principles of a character ethic that he presents as universal and timeless.

Athavan Palananiadni, a senior pharmaceutical professional from Cipla India who brought together pharmacists from across Oman to attend the session, mentioned, “The pharmacists were very happy with the program. We are grateful with the role of Knowledge Oman extending learning opportunities and are looking forward for more of such sessions."
