Knowledge Oman Launches Enterprise & Innovation Seminar Series

Knowledge Oman, the leading platform in the country for knowledge-sharing and social innovation, kicks off its series of community seminars for 2016 bringing together professionals from various sectors to impart their knowledge and experience for the growth of Oman. The first seminar under the theme Enterprise & Innovation, with the initial topic focused on entrepreneurship in Oman’s tourism sector, is held this April 26th starting 6.30pm at The Lounge.

Ali Al Rahma, Vice President of KO Seminars at Knowledge Oman, says, “Knowledge Oman seminars indulge in sharing knowledge and developing various sectors in Oman. The first seminar of 2016 is focused on the tourism industry. We have a very diverse panel group which will enable the crowd to enrich their knowledge and hopefully make a positive impact in developing the tourism sector.”

The Enterprise & Innovation series of KO seminars is launched with the first event at the venue The Lounge, a creative hub based in Ghala, Muscat, in collaboration to bring such knowledge to the community.  The seminar brings the audience two engaging panel discussions, the first on mapping the tourism sector understanding its past, present and future direction and the second on mapping opportunities for SMEs in the tourism sector including gaps to be overcome and opportunities to innovate.

The panel sessions are moderated by local talent Rumaitha Al Busaidi and Sami Al Asmi. The panelists feature representatives from both the public and private sector with SME participation. Attendees have the opportunity to interact directly with the panelists based on their experiences and background on tourism in Oman as well as interacting with SMEs in the tourism sector.

The KO community seminars with updates at www.knowledgeoman.com are in line with the various knowledge-driven initiatives launched by Knowledge Oman with its multi-national team. The seminars are free for the community, created for the progress of the nation and the people.
