Knowledge Oman, the leading platform in Oman for social innovation and knowledge-sharing, conducted a public seminar this January 16th 2016 to educate the public in the area of social entrepreneneurship with a series of talks and workshops held at the College of Banking and Financial Studies.
The event under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Adham bin Turki Al Said featured regional and national speakers educating the public on how to make money doing good and measure sustainable social impact. Speakers included Rym Aoudia President of Knowledge Oman, Medea Nocentini CEO of C3, Anna-Liissa Goggs COO of C3, Khalid Al Haribi Deputy CEO of Riyada, and Aisha Baabood Founder of White Hands Center for Assistive Technology and Rehabilitation. The Q&A session and workshops further highlighted the national potential of tapping into innovative solutions in services and products and enhancing the social capital of Oman. The event also kicked-off the coaching and mentoring C3 Social Enterprise Accelerator Program to serve Oman’s social entrepreneurs through coaching, knowledge and expertise.
“We are honored to have had with us a diverse range of representations from public sector, private sector, SMEs and youth coming together to engage on social entrepreneurship for Oman. The way forward steers a direction of serving social entrepreneurs though our programs, partnerships and collaborating with key entities in this area,” said Rym Aoudia, President of Knowledge Oman.
